We’re On A Road To Nowhere

JT Ellison

It’s been one of those weeks. I’ve had family in, crazy
stuff happening, and I haven’t gotten a lot of regular writing work done. I’m
not procrastinating at all, just distracted. Then my savior appeared in the
form of JB Thompson. Blog Tag. I’m sure you’ve all seen them – some are more
involved than others. There was a great one back a few months on Robert Gregory
Browne’s blog ANATOMY OF A BOOK DEAL that involved choosing seven books from
your closest bookshelf and assembling a paragraph based on certain page numbers
and first/last sentences. This one isn’t quite as complicated. Just don’t laugh
at the answers, okay? I’m giving away the store here.

Without further ado…

Not so pedestrian there, my friend. It’s a good list. (Our TV shows are almost the same…) Thanks for the mention of HUNG OUT TO DIE, and thanks for all the great work you and the rest of the Murderati gang do. This is also a first stop for me every morning.

(I’m looking forward to MEASURE OF DARKNESS, too. Sounds great!)

Darn it, J.T.,You were going to be one of the ones I was going to blog tag on Monday. I’m gonna use this as part of my reflections on author blogs in general . . .

    hugs ‘n’ kisses.

BTW: When I come to stay with you, will you have a nice Shiraz for me? I adore it.

Brett, we Murderati folk think you’re blog’s great too!Jeff — Drudge — told ya I was giving away the store. It’s such a great clearinghouse of babble. Can I redeem myself if I tell you my grandfather was a farm league pitcher for the Yanks?Pari — Sorry about that. How about I make it up to you with a lovely Austrailian McWilliams shiraz? Hmmm, maybe I better get a couple? I can’t wait!

Thanks for the mention JT! I’m also really looking forward to reading Brett’s book, as well as several others, but books that have turned me on this year?

Cornelia Read’s A Field of Darkness. I just finished Rhapsody in Blood, by John Morgan Wilson, which I really enjoyed. My heavy reading season is about to begin, actually – July is usually the month I read the most.

Wow, so I started a little something here? Actually, no, it wasn’t me, it was … well, if I go back two mystery writers – Dana Cameron tagged me and Donna Andrews tagged her, but Donna also tagged Pari and Pari was going to tag J.T. but I apparently got to her first, right? Everyone following the taglines here? Ouch, sorry. No pun intended there.

J.T. probably did the best turn by adding to the original list. Great idea, keeping it “on topic”, so to speak. That’s my brilliant little twin sister for you. Pedestrian, pah! Anything but, J.T., anything but.

Can you believe they haven’t confirmed that “Veronica Mars” will be on the new mutated UPN / WB merged network? :: boggles ::

I heart many of your favorites as well. 🙂

Wow. I just got back from NYC and thought I heard whispers about my book. 🙂

I’m looking forward to reading all your books as well! Oh, and because we didn’t want anyone to confuse my book with Cornelia’s book, we’re changing the title. It’s no longer A MEASURE OF DARKNESS.

    New title coming soon.

Ah, the title game. Be sure to let us know, Rob. Murderati fans the world over want to know so they can run out and grab it as soon as it’s out. I know I can speak for this Murderati fan at the very least!
